Ok, so this is a long series. A rewatchable one at that. The show features an interesting set of characters and the plot has many twists and turns that you don't see coming. I'm not the type to love a lot of anime, but I loved this one.

The Ancient Magus' Bride is a must-watch because it starts by introducing us to the character of Chise. She's been sold as a slave and has lived on the streets, but never had any friends. However, her life changes when she meets an old mage who tells her that she can become his apprentice if she gathers enough power from other sources.
