Check out NAMIWalks.org/LA for more information and for free registration! This free, community-wide event is more than just a Walk – it’s a Mental Health Festival featuring family-friendly community activities, all ages workshops, resources, and food trucks serving a varied menu of delicious treats. How does NAMI, with its invaluable services, life-changing programs and comprehensive education and guidance, do it? Look no further than the mirror. It’s you who powers the difference that NAMI makes. And you. And you and you. It’s the whole impressive community of NAMIWalkers, and the unity that proves itself with every event. Won’t you join the joy for this year’s most important mental health fundraising event? Proceeds help raise awareness, fight stigma, and fund vital mental health programs and services in the community including support groups, presentations, educational classes, and the Connect with Hope Warmline where compassionate peer listeners help guide callers to resources. Thanks to funds raised in the past years, we’re excited to share an inspiring update on our expanding NAMI GLAC, celebrating 40 years in LA County, outreach across LA County. This year, we’re launching support groups in Mandarin, Armenian, and Filipino and adding more in Spanish and Japanese ensuring culturally responsive care for our diverse communities. We’ve also doubled our NAMI on Campus in high schools and colleges and introduced new groups for individuals impacted by the fires, faith-based communities, frontline workers, transitional age youth (TAY) and those of African ancestry. To keep these free and accessible we need you to join us at this year’s NAMIWalks!
