📢 📢 European Green Aluminum Summit 2023 will be held in Frankfurt, Germany, from October 18 to 19th.
👏 👏 We are honored to announce that Eric Rasmussen, who is engaged in Strategies of Smelters in the Energy Transition, will deliver a wonderful speech at the summit. The theme of his speech is “Energy Transition Promoting Green Aluminium Transition.”
🌟 Eric Rasmussen holds a master in commercial law and finance from Aarhus Business School as well as various certificates in energy and mining policy and regulation. Eric joined the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Bank (“EBRD”) in 1995 and developed investment projects in the Former Soviet Union. He has held senior positions as deputy of Russia operations (2003) and director of industry operations (2006). Eric has also served on the boards of joint ventures with prominent sponsors such as Toyota, Solvay, Danone or Carlsberg and, as chairman of the board, he steered a fast-growing vaccine start-up company over six years. Eric was EBRD’s global director of natural resources in 2013 – 2022. 🌱 🌱
He was closely involved in developing the EBRD’s strategies relative to decarbonisation, energy and natural resources. Eric was chief advisor renewables and project finance for Rio Tinto from 2022 until September 2023. He is board member on an copper – gold exploration company. He is also a certified teacher and served over the past decade as a part-time finance lecturer for mining students. ♻ ♻
