Astro Boy is the story of a young boy, born to a scientist and a robot, who was created with unique powers. Astro is able to fly, go through solid objects, and shoot energy blasts from his fingertips. He also has the power of telepathy that allows him to mentally read thoughts. The manga series made its debut in 1952 and eventually became an anime in 1963.
