Huggy Wuggy was the leading toy company’s product for children, until one day turns into a monster after gaining a human conscience.
His first appearance of saw him pretend to be a statue to fool the protagonist. As soon as the protagonist managed to grab the key and turning the power back on in a room (that requires said key), Huggy Wuggy disappears from his pedestal, and throughout the game, he stalks the player from vents or high unreachable places. It is not until the player runs to the dark that it will appear from the shadows and chase them down in the conveyor belt tunnels. Every time the player fails to reach the catwalk at the end of the belt, they are met with Huggy Wuggy snatching up and killing them with its teeth.
However, if the player does manage to get to the catwalk, they must pull a box to block the creature and destroy it, causing both of them to fall. Huggy Wuggy seems to be moments from death until it crawls over the pipes and recovers as the player looks downward.
